Defining Marriage?

I believe exactly as Elizabeth here.

It's not a matter of choice for me,....it is what I believe.....life experiences have only affirmed what I believe the Holy Spirit put upon my heart..  Everything that makes perfect sense to me is founded on the unmistakable truth of God's Word.  So, even though I love everyone, I may be considered prejudice because I believe that God's Word is true.

I sin, and have sinned.  I believe my sins are covered by the blood shed by Jesus Christ.  I am in a growing relationship with God working through sanctification with the help of the Holy Spirit.  I am unworthy of the presence of God's holiness without Jesus' life giving blood.  Yet, the response of my appreciation and joy of the salvation made known, with the everlasting hope of an infinite future with God, as defined in the bible, demands that I accept God's commands for holiness and rebuke the sin in my life.  I grow in reverence to His will.

Bible believing Christians will soon be back to meeting in secret places.  We will not be able to change what we believe because popular opinion believes that all people should be able to choose how they live.

I do not believe that government should define marriage.  But, I believe that the churches should be able to speak the truth about what they believe.  That, friends, is going to be a problem.  Christian liberty is going to be greatly challenged.

God created people with free will to see how we respond to His authority.  Our genetic makeup leads us sometimes to challenges more difficult than others.  However, we  are still to fight the good fight of faith in our lives.  An alcoholic has a genetic makeup that provides challenges in this world to control their drinking,....shall they therefore drink to inebriation?  This argument demonstrates that we have desires for things that are not good for us sometimes.  We, also, desire to do things that are sins according to Gods word.  It is to God that we will give our final account.  I may have a plank in my eye, in your opinion,...however, it's only God's that really matters to me.

Whose opinion matters most to you?  Is it God's?  Is it your churches?  Spouses? Friends? Neighbors? Society?

I'm disappointed in my tone here.  I feel like a victim who has been trapped in a corner lashing out with snarly teeth and bedraggled claws.  Truth is, I love everyone, and I know most people are trying to make the right decisions about goodness.  The only difference is on what we base our concept of goodness.  Is it the worlds definition or is it God's?  There is only one place to go for God's definition, the bible.

New Testament teachings:
Mark 10:6-9 (NIV) 6  “But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’[a] 7 ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife,[b] 8 and the two will become one flesh.’[c] So they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it. - Matthew 7:13–14
“If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it” (Matt. 16:24–25).

1 Corinthians 6:18
Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.

“Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple” (Luke 14:27)  -  (sometimes this means giving up what we love on earth)
